Admission Data Analyst
The Admission Data Analyst will work with the Enrollment Management team supporting the data and reporting needs of the recruitment team.
Data Analyst responsibilities include working with our CRM (Target X / Salesforce) to support the data needs of our recruitment counselors. The responsibilities of this position include working with recruiters to identify data needs; building dashboards and reports from TargetX and Banner; training new team members on the use and best practice of TargetX; monitoring and maintaining data in TargetX as it relates to territory management. This position will also be responsible for coordinating a daily and weekly schedule of reports and processes deliverable to the counselors, utilizing the Student Information System, third party systems, and Customer Relationship Management systems; analyzing, validating and summarizing data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports, and interpreting research data as appropriate; ad hoc reporting. This person will provide technical support for the team, and other duties as assigned.
Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA. This position may participate in interdepartmental meetings, committees, and taskforces as well as interact with all levels of faculty, staff and administration campus wide.
Bachelor’s degree required. Candidate must be proficient in complete Microsoft Office suite of applications. Prior experience in data reporting in a Customer Relationship Management software, preferably Salesforce & TargetX, is required. Experience using Microsoft Excel to present data in tables and charts is also required. Prior experience in creating, writing, importing and querying databases using MS Access is preferred. Experience with any of the following are a plus: Student Information Systems, preferably Ellucian's Banner; digital document management systems; Oracle; SQL.
The successful candidate must be detail oriented, have strong follow-through skills, and possess excellent analytical, technical and communication skills. The candidate must also be able to prioritize daily assignments while handling ad hoc projects and interacting with different levels of management.
Extended hours, which may include evenings and weekends, are required in support of daily production, special projects, events and deadlines.
