Job Description Summary

Contributes and participates as an active member of the Asset Management department. Responsible for assistance with the College's entire supply chain process including: the asset's concept and purchase; then its receipt, tracking, and implementation; and finally, its removal, re-purposing, and determination to retain or sell.

Job Responsibilities

Assists with the implementation of inventory control tracking tags and software designed to control assets of the college

Assists in all aspects of the tagging and control process including: organizing, reconciling, record keeping, processing paperwork, follow-up, any inputting, and deliveries

Participates in the physical verification of assets throughout the College campuses and locations

Assists the inventory control team initiatives to improve risk management procedures and reconciliations

Contributes to the completion of team analysis and reporting

Assists asset management processes such as tracking, reconciling, and controlling end-of-life assets sent to the surplus warehouse

Helps ready old assets for repurposing at the college, and assists with the decision to retain or sell them

Adheres to asset management guidelines and maintains familiarity with forms that are on the College's asset management website

Effectively interacts with receiving, mailroom, drivers, suppliers, IT, purchasing, operations, accounts payable, budget, accounting, and risk management employees throughout the College to achieve departmental objectives

Assists with research and resolution of any discrepancies in a timely manner and help to drive improvements and build efficiencies

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Minimum of two years of related professional experience or applicable course study

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations


Possess working knowledge of business supply chain concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possess strong commitment to providing excellent customer service

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment requiring flexibility and teamwork

Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, create opportunities and solve problems

Possess strong organizational, time-management skills, and is results-oriented

Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail

Ability to effectively accept direction from multiple levels of the College in various departments

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Possess working knowledge of community engagement concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations

Demonstrated intermediate Project Management skills

Possess basic Banner skills (or equivalent program)

Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word

Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Ability to independently travel to multiple campuses/locations as directed

Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
