The Department is searching for an organic chemist, and applicants with experience in polymer chemistry are especially encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, tenure track position. The candidate must have a PhD in Organic Chemistry, significant research experience and a strong commitment to teaching. The applicant is expected to assume an active role in curricular and program development for the department, play a significant role in department service and contribute to the College of Science and Mathematics and University community. The primary teaching responsibilities will be in Organic Chemistry as well as in graduate level courses and advanced courses in the candidate's area of expertise. It is expected that a strong, externally funded research program will be developed that includes both undergraduate and graduate students and that leads to peer-reviewed, scholarly publications.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, postdoctoral experience or significant research experience and a strong commitment to teaching.
