The Center for Human Identification Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Forensic Analyst to join our Missing Persons team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Perform lab duties that include examination of evidence (skeletal elements and other unidentified remains items), DNA analysis procedures, and analysis and interpretation of data. * Casework examination following all quality assurance and procedural policies and guidelines. * Data analysis and interpretation.* CODIS data entry. * Statistical calculations and report generation. * Technical review and administrative review of peer casework. * Expert witness testimony. * Adherence to all quality assurance and quality control policies and guidelines. * Establishing competency in required procedures and data interpretation and maintaining proficiency by completing two external proficiency tests per year as required by the federal Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
