** EFFECTIVE START DATE FOR THIS POSITION TO BE NO EARLIER THAN SEPTEMBER 1, 2017 **** This position is open only to internal candidates in the Advancement Department. ** The University of North Texas seeks a motivated, team oriented professional to join our Advancement team as an Assistant Director of Gift Administration. This position will support the overall mission of the Division of Advancement by posting gifts and pledges, managing gift receipt and acknowledgement processes, managing day to day issues and questions to ensure cash handling and deposits are following university guidelines, management of membership module, matching gifts, non-gift revenue event transactions, management and creation of integrity checks, and reconciliation.Specific responsibilities of the Assistant Director position will include, but not be limited to:* Manager receiving, recording, legal receipting, and acknowledging of all charitable contributions to the University.* Manages student assistants and indirectly supervises Gift Accountants.* Ensure data integrity by following established internal and external guidelines and processing all gifts and constituent information timely, accurately and efficiently.* Other duties, as assigned.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and two years of professional experience in marketing, fundraising, event planning, public relations, corporate account sales, or communications; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
