We invite candidates to apply for our Assistant Director of Financial Aid position. The Assistant Director assists with the administration of all Financial Aid related reports and appeals, involving considerable discretion, integrity, and confidentiality. The Assistant Director focuses on providing the highest standard of integrated student customer/client service while maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, as well as College policies and procedures. The Assistant Director is responsible for managing and supervising the Financial Aid office and staff at our South Lake campus in Clermont. In addition, the Assistant Director is responsible for managing and supervising the daily functions of the Financial Aid office and staff at all locations in the absence of the Director.  Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions. This position will be expect to travel to the Leesburg campus on a weekly basis.


Education: B.A. or B.S. degree required.  Master’s degree preferred.


Required: Minimum of three years of recent (within past two years) progressive financial aid experience including Professional Judgments/Petition for Independency, Standards of Academic Progress Appeals for financial aid students and Return to Title IV. Supervisory experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills required. Proficient with COD, NSLDS and FAA ACCESS.

Preferred: Banner experience.
