Assistant Professor of EMS
Primary instructional duties include teaching EMS courses at all levels (FR, EMT, EMT-P and others). Coordination duties include clinical/field affiliate relations, student counseling, supervision of lab clinicians and maintenance of accreditation standards.
Teach EMS and Paramedic courses as required. May teach evenings and/or weekends as required. Create schedules and acts as the liaison between the program and the clinical and field internship agencies.
Works with other EMS Faculty, EMS Program Director and other allied health faculty collaboratively to deliver exceptional learning experiences for students.

- Academic: Bachelor's degree and
- Professional: current Kansas licensure as Paramedic, or RN or MD and (prior to 1/1/18)
- Knowledge of instructional methods & teaching experience to deliver content, skills instruction & remediation.
- Kansas I/C certification (within 1 year of hire)
- Work Experience CAAHEP Accredited Paramedic Program.
- Lead instructor for CAAHEP Accredited Paramedic Program.
- Program Director experience for CAAHEP Accredited Paramedic Program.
- Instructor certification/s for PALS, PHTLS, ACLS, BCLS.
- Kansas EMS I/C
- Academic: Master's or Doctoral degree.
- Experience in emergency medicine/pre-hospital care, Minimum of five years full-time experience as a field paramedic.
