The department of technical communication at the University of North Texas invites applications for the assistant professor position (tenure track) in technical communication, Department of Technical Communication, beginning fall 2018. As a tenure-track member of the faculty, candidates will be expected to develop a record of scholarly research necessary to obtain tenure and to regularly teach undergraduate and graduate technical communication courses. The typical teaching load for junior faculty is 2/2. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in technical communication, professional communication, or related field by the time of appointment. Applicants should have a defined research agenda; the ability to teach a variety of foundational courses in the field of technical communication; and experience teaching courses in technical communication.
