Budget Analyst

 

The Budget Analyst assists in the administration of the campus-operating budget throughout the annual budget cycle from budget preparation and analysis to monthly monitoring of budget performance to fiscal year closing.  This includes preparing routine and ad-hoc reports, developing and maintaining the associated information resources (both computerized and non-computerized). The incumbent works closely with campus budget staff. She/he provides financial management information to the Budget Director in support of University short and long-term financial planning activities/goals. The successful incumbent may be assigned a specific area of responsibility. The incumbent works as part of a budget team to provide timely and accurate analysis and information as well as excellent customer service.  Additionally, she/he coordinates with the Office of Human Resources to ensure that the HR Positon Management system is continually in balance with the Budget Projections, balancing the information daily.
