Job description

Duties: Coordinates research administrative activities in support of the Principal Investigator, Performance Improvement Manager and Project Manager using initiative and sound judgment; includes daily operations. Provides administrative support for the multi-year HRSA Grant - Academic Practice Partnership for the Underserved in Philadelphia (AP4UP), grant proposal and renewal process; assists with the preparation of IRB summaries, progress and annual reports. Coordinates data collection, quality control, storage, and management. Maintains database for efficient information management and reporting. Participates in research team meetings to problem solve follow-up challenges with the intent to improve the quality of data obtained. Participates in reporting and dissemination activities related to research findings. Assists with manuscript preparation and dissemination of results. Composes correspondence, prepares research presentations using Power Point. Coordinates special projects and meetings as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field, with a minimum of 2 years related experience or equivalent combination. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines are required. Previous research administrative experience is strongly desired. Strong PC user skills in MS Office and database management with fast and accurate keyboarding skills.. Will train on qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques as needed. Accuracy and attention to detail are must.
The successful candidate will possess initiative, sound judgment and a results orientation. Must be a collaborative team player with the ability to work both independently and to partner effectively with the PI and other members of the research team. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to compose correspondence and edits documents, required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
The position requires the ability to understand and absorb new information very quickly, to integrate ideas, and to track and manage multiple tasks at the same time. The candidate needs to be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Word, Outlook, and Excel) and be able to effectively utilize the Internet to aid the research process e.g. literature search and manuscript preparation.
