The College of Science Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Recruiting Specialist II to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Development and management of graduate student recruitment and success initiatives in coordination with COS Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, COS departments and other stakeholders on campus. * Duties include participating in and/or organizing graduate student recruitment, retention and career development events, travel for COS approved conferences for recruitment purposes, data collection and production of reports regarding graduate student recruitment, retention and program participation.* Keep up-to-date graduate student application and enrollment numbers, assess quality of graduate student applicants based on application materials provided and evaluate success of initatives implemented by COS.* Communicate with perspective and current graduate students and provide information on services UNT and COS provide for graduate students.* Develop/manage recruitment documents for COS departments in coordiantion with the COS departments, URCM and CAS IT for delivery of print and digital for COS graduate student programs.* Maintain excellent knowledge of COS and UNT policies regarding graduate students.* Facilitate the COS Graduate student program by connecting incoming students with current faculty and students.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in recruiting, academic advising, counseling, student services, or related experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Considerable knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).* Knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).* Ability to think creatively and identify new integrated recruiting opportunities.* Strong presentation skills.* Strong problem solving skills.* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing.* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.* Ability to coordinate and supervise the work of others.
