University of North Texas - Senior Director I
The Union Administration Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Senior Director I to join our team. The Senior Director is responsible for all aspects of the University Union, Gateway Center, Coliseum and Center for Student Affairs at Discovery Park. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Responsibilities include program development, budgets, contract management, strategic planning, staff supervision and development, marketing, publications, customer service and conference and event management. As a member of the Auxiliary Services Team, through the Division of Student Affairs, the Director plays a critical role in managing collaborative events with internal and external partners. These partnerships include Athletics, Student Organizations, Dining Services, Retail and Bookstore Operations, Academic Departments, and community organizations and events.* Provide direction and vision in the following areas: campus programming, including the University Programs Council and Mary Jo & V. Lane Rawlins Fine Arts Series, the Union Board of Directors, concerts, commencement, 31 high school graduations, Union Art Gallery, technical services, ticket sales, one stop conference and event management, scheduling, and custodial, and facilities management.The UNT Union, Gateway Center, Coliseum, and Center for Student Affairs at Discovery Park staffing consists of 70 full-time employees. The Union won the 2017 ACUI Facility Design Award of Excellence and houses 13 dining locations, Design Works (graphic design and video studio), an Apple authorized campus store, Bookstore, Bank, Syndicate Pub, Meditation Lounge, 2 ballrooms, and a series of 20 additional meeting spaces. * The University Union, a 314,000 square foot facility. * The Gateway Center is a 28,000 square foot, multi-level facility located on the entrance to campus that serves as a conference and event center. * The UNT Coliseum is a 9,900 seat multipurpose venue dedicated to providing the highest quality customer service and maximum value in all that it does. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and eight years of closely related professional experience.
