Director - Physical Therapy Assistant Program (Non-Tenure Track)
Essential Job Function - Serves as the Director of the PTA Program. Manages the overall operation of the PTA Program including course scheduling, securing equipment and supplies, developing policies and procedures, and record keeping. Recruits students, instructors, and other personnel for the program. Establishes and implements program/course policies. Prepares budget annually for all program areas. Monitors curriculum and suggests changes as necessary. Maintains liaison with key personnel at all clinical affiliates. Develops courses in partnership with instructors and strategic partners. Three-hour release time as PTA Program director; teach classes for remainder of FTE. Continued professional development. Oversees marketing aspect of course/program. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Master’s degree or higher with current PT or PTA license with a minimum 5 years recent experience. A minimum of 5 years teaching experience in an accredited program. Knowledge of educational methods and current accreditation and certification procedures. Must comply with established College standards and policies.
