Job Description Summary

Veterinary Technology



Job Responsibilities

Teaches a full range of courses and labs. Monitors clinical practicums and field experiences. Willingness to teach a variety of subject matter. May include animal anatomy and physiology, large animal techniques, clinical pathology (microbiology, parasitology), animal health and disease, among others.



Required Qualifications

Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Ohio. D.V.M. (or V.M.D.) or minimum AAS in Veterinary Technology respectively. Minimum of five years clinical practice experience.

Willingness to learn and/or have experience in the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid and/or distance learning classes, and /or as a supplement

Knowledge and skills in a variety of computer usage and software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)



Preferred Qualifications

Practice experience with food animals, horses, companion animals and exotics. Previous veterinary technician teaching experience. Clinical pathology experience interest or experience . Computer software literacy. A strong demonstrated interest in veterinary technology



Work Schedule

To be determined based on business unit need. Classes may be offered during the day, evening and/or weekend. Please indicate your availability when applying for this position.
