EXEC ASSISTANT A
Duties: Provide a high level of executive assistance to the Dean of the School using sound judgment to plan, manage and follow- up on a wide variety of activities that directly impact School operations. Plan and manage activities to leverage opportunities which align with the Dean's strategic priorities; develop and maintain professional relationships with the Dean's contacts; design shared systems to ensure efficient operations of the Office of the Dean. Oversee and manage communications process; the Dean's special initiatives and events; develop systems to track and interact with the Dean's network; manage a broad range of international and national level activities in support of School goals. Coordinate the development of the Dean's publications and editorial reviews process.
Qualifications: BA/BS degree and 3- 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience working at the executive level or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree preferred.
Superior organizational and interpersonal skills needed. Must have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with competing deadlines and multiple priorities. Strong oral and written communication skills essential. (Writing samples are required). The successful candidate will possess exceptionally sound judgment, be highly organized, and have both a results orientation and a service orientation. Strong PC skills in MS Office needed. The position requires initiative, the capacity to exercise discretion in working with highly confidential matters and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of University policies and procedures desired.
