Job Description

The Department of Justice Studies invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor rank, who is a specialist in juvenile justice. The successful candidate will teach Perspectives on Justice, Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Justice, Introduction to Criminal Justice and Research Methods at the undergraduate level. Candidate should have the skills and willingness to reach across discipline boundaries. Justice Studies is an interdisciplinary field concerned with the legal, social, and historical dynamics of issues related to domestic and international justice. Montclair State University is a research institution and faculty carries a 3/3 load, maintain an active research agenda, provide service to the department, university and larger professional community.



Qualifications & Requirements

Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or Criminology, with a specialization in Juvenile Justice.

Applicants are expected to possess excellent teaching skills, maintain an active research agenda in the area of Juvenile Justice, and hold a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and or Criminology at the time of appointment.
