Temporary Faculty Pool - California Northstate University College of Health Sciences (CHS), Rancho Cordova, California, USA

Position Description:

The California Northstate University College of Health Science (CNUCHS) is continually seeking excellent teaching faculty for part-time instruction. Listed below are subject areas for which there is a continuous need for part-time instructors, with ‘*’ indicating immediate need.

Job ClassificationFTE as assigned, part-time, non-exempt.

Review of ApplicationsApplications are received in an ongoing basis. Fall semester applicant review will begin April 1st and Spring semester applicant review will begin November 1st.

Anticipated Start DateFall semester start date will be August 1st; Spring semester start date will be January 1st.  

Reporting Responsibility:  Reports directly to the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.

Education and Experience:   A master’s degree in the subject area is the minimum requirement, although a doctorate is often preferred (and ABD’s may be considered). Teaching experience in the subject area is generally highly desired and may be required. Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and relevant experience. Official Transcripts may be required upon hire.

Job Description: Part-time faculty are expected to maintain the highest standard of classroom teaching excellence, adhere to college policy, and hold regular office hours for student assistance. Part time faculty may also be asked to attend regular meetings with course lead faculty to maintain alignment with institutional and course learning outcomes.

Each department maintains a year-round pool of applicants interested in teaching as a lecturer. Applications are gladly accepted at any time.
