Job Summary/Basic Function: Under direction, trains and supervises the Admissions staff/processing area and Recruitment area. Maintains the transfer admissions processes, including maintaining Procedures Manual with upgrades and new processes. Leads the university recruitment efforts at both the undergraduate and graduate level and guides the recruiters through appropriate new student contact and territory management. Works in conjunction with University Communications and the Director of Enrollment Management to update publications used in the recruitment of new students at the undergraduate and graduate level as well as maintenance of the University CRM. Handles problem resolution of transfer/admissions related issues. Coordinates and keeps up with processes, issues related to legislative mandates. Ensures accurate and timely management reporting. Communicates with Academic Advisors; acts as a liaison to the university. Provides excellent customer service.

This position requires travel.

Work Hours: Typically Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. May requires some evening and weekend hours as needed.

Manages Admissions staff in the recruitment and processing area, daily operations of domestic and international Admissions ensuring professionalism and customer service oriented approach in all realms. Oversees the development and daily operation of communications between prospective students and admissions and ensures the distribution of decision letters. Creates and maintains communication and marketing materials for prospective students. Determines promotional items and recruitment lists. Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising support staff.

Monitors weekly processing reports of Admissions Processing and Recruiting areas, ensuring adequate processing, monitoring, posting of holds, review of recruiting reports, maintenance of coding and appropriate work flow, correction of errors, appropriate recruiting schedules and contact with new incoming students. As needed, aids with corrections of State (CBM) error reports that pertain to Admissions area and attends recruitment events. Creates and maintains internal and external report data. Maintains Apply Texas information to ensure everything is up to date, ensures successful daily downloading and processing of common applications.

Ensures the proper maintenance of recruiting schedules and contacts and guides the university recruiters through productive and efficient contact with potential new students and community constituents. Qualifications

Education

Necessary Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in applicable field.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree

Experience

Necessary Qualifications: Ten years of related experience in college admissions programs, budgets, and planning, including supervision of personnel. Experience with higher education student system software.

Three years of management/supervisory work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Banner.
