Job Summary *This position is only available to current UGA employees* The Instructional Technology Development Professional Specialist will manage and operate the new Online Learning Media Center at the College of Public Health Office of Instructional Technology (CPHOIT). The Specialist will report to the CPHOIT Director and work collaboratively with College of Public Health (CPH) departments, faculty and other teaching staff to design, develop, and deliver quality online learning courses. The specialist will work closely with the new CPH Director of Online Learning to assess faculty proposals, curriculum priorities and quality management. The candidate must be skilled in instructional design, the teaching/learning process and the use of selected multimedia and IT related tools and resources. The Specialist will also address technical needs for instructional multimedia such as online and/or web course management systems, and provide training and guidance regarding best teaching practices. The Specialist will also serve as the Center's (1) video and sound technician, (2) director of the studio recording process and (3) editor responsible for postproduction. In order to facilitate the production needs for the development of instructional multimedia, the candidate will need both the technical knowledge required to operate the production tools of the Center and significant skill and training in instructional design.
