MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST IV
Job Summary Performs complex diagnostic laboratory tests independently. Provides accurate and timely results and reports which influence critical decisions made by clinicians. Assists clinicians in appropriate utilization of laboratory services and interpretation of results. Oversees the work of Laboratory Phlebotomists and performs administrative duties as assigned by, or in the absence of, the Laboratory Manager. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in biology, chemistry, or medical technology supplemented by considerable experience as a medical technologist in the clinical laboratory of a hospital; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Medical Technologist (ASCP) registration plus a minimum of three years experience as a medical technologist.
