    Position Description

    Under limited direction, the position is responsible for administering, cultivating, sustaining and stewarding corporate and foundation relationships as he/she determines appropriate in alignment with the University's mission and strategic plan. This position exercises autonomy in proposing collaboration with University Development colleagues as well as non-Development faculty and staff and he/she determining opportunity for cross-disciplinary strategy.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    1. Determines and actively promotes and evaluates corporate and foundation funding opportunities that align with University priorities and initiatives in order to ensure submission of strong applications for funding.

    2. Visits and develops relationships with foundation and corporate directors and personnel on behalf of the University at their location as well as hosts campus visits to build and enhance relationships with potential outside funding partners.

    3. Administers relationships with assigned corporate and foundation prospects across the University's three campuses and using expertise and judgement to strengthen potential funding linkage and engagement.

    4. Identifies creative and strategic ways for stewarding donors and cultivating the donor to align with future funding or giving opportunities.

    5. Provides training and guidance to empower colleagues with the ability to successfully utilize effective grant writing techniques.

    6. Ensures compliance with proposal submission requirements and deadlines, including drafting, editing, and compiling supporting documentation.

    7. Guides three campus integration of best practices, business policies and engagement planning.

    8. Guides review of Development Research Analyst leads to identify and engage potential foundation and corporate funding prospects.

    9. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.


    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Three (3) years of successful work experience in a higher education development role or sales/solicitation experience in another industry

    Compensation

    Compensation commensurate with experience, exempt.
