About Bunker Hill Community College:

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the tutor is to provide one-on-one support to students enrolled in English, Literature, and ESL courses. Tutors must be able to relate to and work with students individually, exercise good judgment, and provide effective feedback to students.


  • A Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications, Literature, Education or a related area is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 1+ years of tutoring experience preferred.
  • Weekdays, weeknights and weekends available..
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.

Additional Information:

Hours: 18/hrs. week (non-benefitted)

Hourly rate: $28.29
