Duties: Coordinate the day-to-day management of phenotypic and genotypic markers of addiction in patients with chronic pain. Supervise and coordinate recruitment for research staff and train new employees as needed on all sites. Monitor progress on all sites and perform quality control assessments. Perform screening, recruitment phlebotomy and determination of eligibility for all participants at local sites. Meet regularly with the Principal Investigator to identify problems and develop solutions. Implement changes to procedures as needed and monitor results. Conduct research interviews at baseline and follow-up. Maintain tracking databases and produce reports on follow-up rates. Manage study compensation for subject payments. Submission of continuing reviews, regulatory updates/amendments to the University of Pennsylvania Institutional Review board. Supervision of multiple staff members at multiple sites.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. One to two years in conducting treatment research in the addictions or other psychiatric disorders strongly preferred. Familiarity with study assessments preferred. Management skills and attention to detail in data collection and management required. Must be available for some evenings and weekends. Position contingent upon continued funding.
