The Athletics Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Assistant Director of Ticket Sales and Revenue Generationto join our team. Under direct supervision of the Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Operations; the Assistant Director of Ticket Sales is responsible for actively selling new season tickets, group, and renewal packages. Meeting criteria such as: outbound call volume, sales revenue, and face to face meetings are critical for success in this role. This role will also provide oversight operationally of Ticket Sales for assigned Olympic Sports and managing & creating ticketing manifests, coding and other duties as requested by Senior Associate AD. Responsibilities may include assisting/managing the onboarding of new North Texas sales reps, Part-time, game day staff, & interns. Assisting in the coordination of Don January Golf Tournament, UNT Student Athlete Awards Banquet & other athletic related events will be required. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Identify new business opportunities for ticket sales and revenue generation.* Generate sales leads to facilitate the maximum number of sales and revenue.* Prospect, qualify and close leads over the phone or in face-to-face appointments at Apogee Stadium or off campus with prospect.* Responsible for establishing a relationship with individual game buyers and other constituents of North Texas Athletics in order to generate new business.* Meet or exceed daily call minimums and touches.* Build relationships with current clients ensuring high renewal rates.* Maintain electronic account records for the upkeep of customer relationship management database.* Work within a team environment to achieve common department goals.* Provide excellent customer care and quality service to our customers.* Organize and be the point of contact for ticket sales and operations efforts with assigned Olympic Sports. This will include the possibility of meet-and-greet with pregame VIP's (pregame and post-game on field).* Meet with professional associations, attend networking events, & to gain awareness of our product/competition in the local business community.* Meet or exceed weekly, monthly and long term sales goals in the areas of season ticket sales, group ticket sales, development/mean green club, & community awareness activities in DFW.* Assist the Intern & Part-time program with oversight, guidance, & mentoring.* Assist in maintaining Ticketmaster Archtics and Host database as secondary point of contact.* Oversee ticketing aspects of assigned Olympic Sports + Women's basketball, implementing manifest creation and completing deadlines on time and in accordance to responsibilities set forth by Senior Associate AD/Ticket Sales and Operations. * Responsible for accurate and appropriate handling of cash, checks, credit cards, and tickets; will work with the Business Office to deposit all ticket office revenue within 3 business day of sports event.* Other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and one year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
