University of North Texas - Director I
The Division of Student Affairs Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Director I to join our team. In collaboration with Senior Leadership, the Director will lead the Division in setting assessment priorities and enhance the assessment climate to enable a fully integrated planning, budgeting, and assessment process. The Director will provide expertise and guidance to ensure that assessment activities align with learning outcomes and the Division's strategic goals and objectives, coordinate the assessment work for the Division, and serve as the primary liaison from DSA to Data Analytics and Institutional Research (DAIR) and other relevant campus entities. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Create an assessment plan and annual timeline. * Serve as a member of the University Accreditation's TracDat Review Team.* Collaborate with DAIR staff to gather and analyze institutional data and develop reports and presentations.* Chair Divisional Assessment Team.* Participate in relevant professional development bodies (NASPA, ACPA, SAAL, etc.) and share practices with colleagues.* Provide consultancy and training to units as they conceive and implement assessment projects.* Support units in developing effective assessment methods.* Provide regular training opportunities for staff to improve the assessment skills of all staff in the Division.* Serve as campus business owner and trainer for Eagle Access ID Card event and office visit tracking system.* Develop and implement system for Program Reviews. Assist program areas in gaining information about best practices and tools to strengthen program areas through effective assessment and data collection.* Develop a cyclical calendar for Program Reviews.* Serve as clearinghouse and coordination point for Divisional assessment projects and facilitate communication between and among units to share best practices, resources, information, etc.* Create content and maintain assessment web page for communication.* Create framework for and oversee web assessment management tool.* Work with Senior Staff to establish and implement Division-wide short- and long-range goals and objectives based on the strategic plan.* Consult with program areas on development of unit-specific strategic priorities and assessment of identified priorities.* Advise senior staff on external and institutional trends that will affect DSA work in the future. Incorporate into strategic plan as appropriate.* Monitor and report on progress toward the plan. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and six years of closely related professional experience.
