The Student Health and Wellness Center at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Provide nursing care to patients at the UNT Student Health and Wellness Center, including assessing and evaluating patients, facilitating exams by a medical provider, and showing general competency, proficiency, and responsibility toward nursing duties and equipment. The successful candidate will possess a current Texas licensed vocational nurse and one year of LVN experience in a hospital, clinic, or private physician practice.The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Knowledge of medications, their use, and means of administration* Practical working knowledge of nursing procedures, methods, and techniques* Ability to maintain CPR certification* Ability to perform nursing duties while standing or walking for long period of time* Knowledge of appropriate safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed
