Oregon Tech is seeking applicants for a Director of Admissions position. This is a 12-month, full-time position located in the Klamath Falls, Oregon campus. The Director of Admissions for Oregon Tech is responsible for the management and leadership of the Admissions office and staff, operations and systems, and oversight and planning of recruiting and admissions efforts in support of the enrollment management goals of the university. The Director is responsible for undergraduate admission of students and for supervising staff who support recruiting and admissions objectives.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

The Director of Admissions is responsible for providing leadership and coordination for policy development related to the admission and enrollment of all types of students, managing the Admissions office and operations including personnel, budgets, systems, communication plans and publications, and overseeing the hiring, training and evaluation of office staff. The Director will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and programs for recruitment to assure maximum effectiveness and compliance with Oregon Tech standards, and collaborating with the University marketing department to develop marketing strategies that increase the number of inquiries, applications, deposits, and ultimately enrolled students.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in college admissions.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, databases and other computer skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use relevant tools for communication and reporting.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting background.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Eight (8) or more years’ experience in collegial admissions.
  • Proficiency in language other than English.
  • International experience (professional or personal).
