Columbus State University has an opening for a Marketing Coordinator in the Office of University Relations. This position will be located in the College of the Arts, and will be responsible for coordinating, marketing, public relations, and advertising efforts for the College of the Arts. This position will work in close collaboration with the Director of University Relations.

The successful candidate will plan, write, prepare, and/or review news releases and articles focused on events and programs in the College of the Arts to be sent to the media or used in Columbus State University publications and/or posted online; organize and oversee media coverage; regularly update content on the College of the Arts websites; maintain all social media platforms; and all other related duties as assigned. The selected candidate will work closely with the Dean and all Department Chairs/Directors in the College of the Arts to assist in the development of comprehensive marketing plans and strategies and implement tactics to enhance the marketing of those departments and Columbus State University.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or Marketing from an accredited college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate must have excellent organizational skills; be self-motivated; enjoy working with arts patrons, educators, and students; possess the ability to represent the department in a positive manner in public situations; and have a demonstrated proficiency of standard office software.

The salary is commensurate with education and experience.
