Job Description Summary: Job ID: 4650 - FT - Unclassified (salaried)

To oversee the administrative operational aspects of the Baseball and Softball programs consistent with the policies of Miami University, the NCAA, and other appropriate governing bodies (i.e. Mid-American Conference). This position reports to the Head Baseball Coach.

This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.

 

Duties/Physical Demands:

Participates in the administration and organization of Baseball program to include:

Coordinate all aspects of Team Travel (bus, hotels, meals, airfare, practice arrangements, etc..) Coordinate arrangements for team during break periods within the University calendar Organize all coach and player ticket requests Coordinate all team Community Relations efforts Assist in the organization and direction of all camps and clinics Assist with organizational aspects of practice (i.e. setting up drills, equipment needs etc…) Special Event Planning as needed Assist with on-campus recruiting for Baseball Help coordinate alumni events. Serve as Baseball liaison with Game Operations & Marketing staff. Assist with tracking expenditures with the program budget. Perform other duties as assigned by Head Coach. Coordinate equipment needs for Baseball, including but not limited to equipment ordering and daily laundry services. Serve as Softball liaison for external staffs. Assist with tracking expenditures with the program budget. Perform other duties as assigned by Head Coach. In addition, coordinate equipment and facility needs for the Hayden Baseball Center and Hayden Athletic Training Room, including but not limited to equipment ordering and daily laundry services.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Demonstrated experience working in the sport of baseball Demonstrated knowledge of basic NCAA rules Strong interpersonal skills
