Duties: The research coordinator's role is to assist Annenberg Public Policy Center senior researchers with research projects in the areas of the science of science communication, civility and political discourse, and culture of health.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: literature reviews, content coding and analysis, misc. data collection, and other quantitative and qualitative research projects and tasks. Additional duties may include coding of TV and movies for culture of health variables, assisting with development and implementation of study designs, IRB protocols and coding instruments, and identifying and acquiring new samples for content analysis coding. The coordinator will also be responsible for data management using programs such as Qualtrics, SPSS and Excel, and assisting with analysis and preparation of scholarly articles based on research findings. Additional research and administrative tasks will be assigned as needed, including assisting with management of student workers.
This is a one-year position through 8/31/2018.
Qualifications: A Master's Degree in Communication and 0 to 1 year of experience is required. Candidate must have experience with academic research, writing, and citations. Facility with research and analytical tools such as SPSS, Qualtrics, Excel and experience with content coding required. Attention to detail very important.
