IT Professional Temporary

Nature of Work

This is a part-time temporary University Staff position located at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. The Office of Educational Technology is responsible for technological duties within the Office of Medical Education and the Physical Therapy (PT) Program. This position will work directly with PT Program constituents. This position requires excellent skills in prioritization, communication, and organization.

Examples of Work Performed

Education Technology Support Canvas

  • Experience with Instructure Canvas support of faculty and students
  • Knowledge of pedagogical best practices for learning management systems
  • Experience with training faculty and staff
  • Manage non-curricular Canvas Courses


  • Experience with a lecture capture system
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and access problems

Information Technology Duties

  • General knowledge of website content management systems
  • Experience using webforms or survey tools and accessing associated data
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Assist students with personal devices and connecting with University resources
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Educational Technology

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High-level customer support and communication skills to assist a diverse range of faculty, students, and staff
  • Demonstrate a track record of working with complex groups and organizations
  • Ability to work within a team-based setting and independently


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a directly related field
  • Proven experience support an array of faculty, staff, and students within a complex working environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with an Academic Medical Center or higher education setting
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and educational related technology
