Pay Rate:  $16.00-$20.00 Hr.

This position is a short-term, temporary, Non-Bargaining Unit assignment, not to exceed 160 days. The assignment is on an as needed basis, and may be shortened or extended.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the District Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources, and/or their designees, the incumbent will be assigned to assist in facilitating faculty and staff recruitments and general office duties in a highly confidential setting.


Duties may include but are not limited to assisting staff with composing orientation and interview materials, scheduling interviews, calling for references, greeting and assisting interview candidates, computer data entry, updating employment database, duplicating, assist in distribution of materials, answer and respond to telephone calls and emails, filing and closing out files and other general office duties as assigned.

Knowledge of:

Modern office practices and equipment. Computer Data entry and operations, preferably skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Familiar with HRIS software. Working knowledge of the practices of a Human Resources Office is desirable.



Ability to:

Maintain confidential information. Work professionally and cohesively with management, staff and the general public. Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Adapt effectively in a high paced work environment.


Education and Experience Guidelines:

Any combination of experience and/or training that would provide the individual with qualifications to meet the minimum requirements of the position.


License or Certificate:

A valid California Driver’s License. Proof of insurance may be required for offsite assignments in order to drive a District or personal vehicle.
