The Registered Dietitian (RD) works with students to assist them with their dietary needs. This team member works with a variety of professionals on multidisciplinary treatment teams to provide individual nutritional counseling for students. The dietitian also develops and provides educational programming related to nutrition for a wide range of students and possibly faculty and staff members in order to promote a healthier campus. This position requires a broad range of past experiences and passion for bringing new ideas focused on health promotion to the student body.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
The RD will possess knowledge of the English language, including meaning and spelling of words as well as rules of composition and grammar. The candidate for this position will be skilled at written and verbal communication, including formal presentations to both individuals and groups. There is a demonstrated ability to set priorities, advocate team concepts and work collaboratively with both faculty and staff.
Position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Position requires the ability to move about the campus. Position requires the ability to talk and to hear instruction. Position requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach. Position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Working conditions are indoor.
Bachelor's Degree from a four year accredited college or university.
Current registration with the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
Experience working with a wide range of adult nutritional concerns including but limited to, those who struggle with eating disorders (i.e. anorexia, bulimia), Celiacs, Crohns, diabetes as well as those interested in sports nutrition and weight gain or loss.
Competency in working with diverse populations including persons of various ages, ethnic identities, sexual orientations, gender identities, national origins, religious backgrounds, etc. can be demonstrated.
