TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE OF GRAPHIC DESIGN, College of Fine Arts, School of Visual Arts (4967/H1517)
The College of Fine Arts seeks a Graphic Design Technical Associate who is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, safety and operations of the equipment in the Graphic Design studios and classrooms in the School of Visual Arts as well as providing technical instruction to and oversight of students. This requires and in-depth knowledge of graphic design technical production methods in both traditional and new approaches. Maintain organization, safety and cleanliness in a busy studio, oversee students use of materials, order supplies, keep inventory and research new sources of supplies and equipment.
B.A./B.S. and three to five years of related experience. Knowledge or expertise in the following applications and software is required: Knowledge or expertise in the following applications and software is required: Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro), Mac OS X (Mavericks, Yosemite). Knowledge or expertise in the following applications and software is preferred: Adobe Lightroom, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, iMovie. Knowledge or expertise of the following equipment is preferred: black & white and color laser printing specifically with Ricoh printers, duplex printing, medium and large format inkjet printing specifically with Epson and Hewlett Packard professional printers and plotters. Large format vinyl cutters, installation and removal. Soft and hardcover book binding, printing and production. Use of digital equipment such as projectors, scanners, and digital cameras.
