Job description

Duties: The University of Pennsylvania and the Penn Institute for Regenerative Medicine are looking for an energetic person to teach science-based experiments, called Project BioEYES, to 2nd-12th grade classes in the Philadelphia area. This is a one-year seasonal position (September-June). Reports to the Director of Life Science Outreach and Education.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one to two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Degree in science or education is preferred, although other degrees would be considered. Teacher certification a plus. Access to a car/vehicle and a valid driver's license required. Individual will need strong communication and organizational skills, and must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must pass Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment. Position contingent upon funding.
