Advertised Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the research specialist will be to conduct experiments collect data, analyze data, organize and maintain the laboratory environment, and take care of animal model organisms. This work will include conducting genotyping experiments for both models, breeding of both, and feeding and raising zebrafish. Also, manage the efficient operation of the laboratory including ordering supplies, managing hazardous waste, maintaining chemical inventory, and assisting undergraduate researchers in the laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year related research experience, or high school diploma and 5 years related research experience.
