Advertised Job Summary
Under general supervision the position of administrative coordinator for business affairs in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures: coordinates and administers the activities associated with the preparation and execution of payroll, financial reports, and travel related to the business management activities of a department of 72 full-time faculty, adjunct faculty and 5 classified staff. Provides administrative support for faculty recruitment and hiring, Study Abroad programs and conferences. Provide training and guidance to the administrative staff in the Confucius Institute in order to promote the overall mission and purpose of the Institute.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years related experience in business management, administrative services, or related field; or equivalency.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Working experience with Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat software applications. General knowledge of basic accounting principles of account payables and account receivables, and general data management. Desirable: Knowledge of the university system and USC policies and procedures concerning: budget, payroll, accounts payable, travel, visa's and immigration requirements.
