Posting Summary:
The Department of Student Health invites nurse practitioner applicants with expertise in primary care for a full-time salaried position in our General Medicine clinic with an anticipated start date of January, 2018. The clinician hired for this position will be expected to provide high quality, evidence-based primary health care to University of Virginia students. Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills are required. Patient care activities may include supervision and instruction of UVA Health system trainees as they participate in clinical rotations in General Medicine. This will include one-on-one teaching, oversight of patient care, and providing feedback.

Candidates must have completed a required graduate program (graduate degree in nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse). Requirements also include 1) Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner license; 2) Current Virginia Prescriptive authority, 3) Certification as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric nurse practitioner; and 4) DEA certified.
