General Statement of Job

To support all aspects of enrollment including recruitment, application, assessment, registration, data management, and events.

Position Information
Location As assigned.
Note: ACC and Community Locations Hours Up to 19 hours: early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends. Salary $20.00/hr FLSA Status Non-Exempt Reports To Assessor, Adult Education Criminal Background Check Pre-employment criminal background checks are required for all Staff and Faculty positions. Pre-employment urinalyses drug screens are also required for all top candidates considered for positions in ACC's College Police department.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists with the organization, preparation, and implementation of enrollment events.
  • Works with ACC staff, faculty and the community to disseminate accurate information about enrollment.
  • May assist with training staff and faculty to make sure enrollment processes are implemented correctly.
  • Administers pre- and post-assessments required for grant compliance. Assists assessors as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains student referral systems as needed.
  • Works with data management coordinator to establish systems and maintain data integrity.
  • Provides assistance to students, instructors, recruiters/advisors, supervisors, and partner agency staff with classroom/site management issues.
  • Assists with enrollment and marketing of Workforce Solutions programs and services.

    Technology Skills

    • Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software.

    Required Work Experience

    • Two years related work experience.

    Preferred Work Experience

    • Experience working in Adult Education: GED, ESL, ESOL, Career Pathways, and/or College Prep.

    Required Education

    • Bachelor's degree.

    Special Requirements

    Licenses/Certifications; Other

    • Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation for local Austin area travel.

    Physical Requirements

    • Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
    • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
    • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

    Other Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of BEST plus, BEST literacy, and TABE online and paper versions.


    • Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.

    Full-time Faculty and Staffing Table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the College are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment.
