Job Description: The Department of English at East Carolina University (http://www.ecu.edu/english) is seeking applications for a fixed-term temporary Teaching Instructor position (.9 FTE) for the fall 2017 semester, to begin August 21, 2017. The teaching load for this position is four courses. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. We are committed to fostering diversity in our faculty and student body. Depending upon a candidate's credentials, as well as the needs in the department, the Chair may assign other courses.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include MA in English or related degree (e.g., rhetoric/composition or writing studies) from an appropriately accredited institution. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of and experience to teach courses in first-year writing and writing about the disciplines.
