-Minimum of 15 years working in Higher Education and/or information technology.
-Advanced knowledge of the PeopleSoft Integrated Student Information System (SIS) is required, specifically the Financial Aid Module.
-Advanced knowledge of the cloud-based document and verification software, Education Partners.
-Demonstrated sound judgment, strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities. Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop solutions is necessary.

Position Summary:

The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) endeavors to generate, evaluate, and implement strategic initiatives that create sustainable, long-term improvements in the University of Wisconsin - Madison's financial aid programs and in alignment with OSFA's student-centric mission, vision, and goals.

The Lead Developer assist in leading and managing the activities of the financial aid software systems. The scope of these application systems includes PeopleSoft's Campus Solutions (SIS) Financial Aid module as well as other vendor software partnerships that support the Office of Student Financial Aid, such as Education Partners (cloud-based document and verification software).

In collaboration with the Systems team, this position ensures that all federal, state, and institutional regulatory and policy requirements are being met by the software systems. The Lead Developer is responsible for managing projects, business analysis, system development and testing to ensure that the system(s) meet the needs of the office. This position will coordinate and direct team member activities and will have direct contact with campus leaders. The vast majority of duties will revolve around being the IT expert in Campus Solutions Financial Aid module, which involves analyzing new functionality and tools to ensure that the office is fully leveraging the capabilities of the system.

This position directly supervises an in-house developer and indirectly supervises the activities the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) developers outsourced by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
