Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. in meteorology or atmospheric & oceanic sciences.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Minimum of 2 years post-graduate research experience in atmospheric or oceanic sciences is required. Experience with seasonal to decadal climate prediction, coupled data assimilation, and Earth System Modeling (NCARs CESM, DART, and DOEs ACME) is required for the ideal candidate. Extensive experience with Fortran, C, and Matlab is required.



Position Summary:

Conduct research related to seasonal to decadal climate prediction and write grant proposals.

Position is funded with extramural grant support. Position may be extended depending on funding availability
