The University of Florida’s Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full time Assistant Professor to pursue a career within the Child Health Research Institute. This is a 1.0 FTE tenure-accruing position. The ideal candidate should have a successful track record in research. The position has a 100% research assignment where the candidate will commit 85% of his/her time to research related activities, 10% to training/teaching of other personnel/students, and 5% to participation in administrative and scientific meetings on and off campus. The major duty of the position is to study multi-system disease, involving multiple neurological, cardiac, and metabolic manifestations. Additionally, the faculty member will be expected to recruit and advise graduate students, develop a nationally and internationally recognized research program, publish study results in peer-reviewed journals, and procure extramural funding.

Advertised Salary:

Salary is negotiable to commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. and/or M.D.  Preferred Qualifications:

Successful track record of obtaining extramural research funding.
