Discipline: Adjunct Faculty/Physics
Department/School: Physical Sciences Dept./School of Mathematics, Science & Engineering
Responsibilities: The Physical Sciences Department seeks an Adjunct/Physics faculty member. Teaching assignments include lecture and laboratory instruction in general physics (algebra and calculus-based).
Qualifications: A minimum of a Master’s degree and one year of practical experience are required. A Master’s degree in physics and one year of practical experience teaching physics at the secondary and/or undergraduate level is strongly preferred. Commitment to teaching excellence and knowledge of effective pedagogy, assessment techniques, and current research and practices in science education is required. Familiarity with the goals of a community college and a demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse and multicultural student body is also required.
Position Effective: Fall 2017
Hourly Rate of Pay: $72.60 per hour. No benefits.
