Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include designing print and electronic media, which provide cutting edge designs especially relevant to the Florida State University community. This position is also required to hire, train, direct and evaluate the work of student graphic designers and student photographers. The Media Specialist will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing successful marketing programs and promotional events.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma or equivalency and six years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note:or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Photography experience.
Experience working with dissimilar media tasks simultaneously.
Graphic and media publication experience.
Experience or the ability to train and direct the work of others.
Experience with applicable computer software and operating systems.
Experience or knowledge of current media technology and trends.
Experience or knowledge of marketing research techniques and tools.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
