Successful candidate will be responsible for:

- The vision, leadership, choreography and recruitment of a competitive Cheerleading Team.

- Establishing and maintaining a competitive team of high character and academic achievement.

- Serving in an advisory capacity to Cheer Team officers and members.

This is a part time position. This appointment starts in August 2017 and continues until May 2018.

- Bachelor's degree is required.

- Cheerleading experience is required.

- Regularly required to stand and talk or hear.

- Frequently required to walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Current CPR /First Aid Certification or the completion of a Certification class within 60 days-Will provide.

Job Duties

Percent of total time 50

Responsibility / Duty

- Organizing and leading team practices.
- Instruction of cheer and proper stunting techniques, choreography of competition routines and gameday materiel.
- Attends every practice and supervises the practice through its termination; remains in same area where team is practicing and routines are being performed.
- Provide coaching expertise as the team learns routines.
- Ensures mats are used at all practices where tumbling routines are being performed.

Responsibility / Duty

Supervises the squad throughout team performances at all assigned home athletic and spirit program events.

Percent of total time 15

Responsibility / Duty

- Evaluates each team member in practice sessions and determines those team members who are best suited for each routine.
- Recruits students to participate on team.

Responsibility / Duty

Supervises and coordinates travel for team at competitions in the Capital Athletic Conference.

Prepares a budget and year end report.
