Under the supervision of the CDS (Center for Disability Services) Director, and in cooperation with other campus support services, the Coordinator of Access & Accommodations will provide comprehensive disability support services to students. Duties include meeting with new students, advising students on course and program selection, facilitating accommodations, coordinating e-books and other assistive technology, and supporting students with disabilities in pursuing their academic goals. The Coordinator of Access & Accommodations will show dedication to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.


Master’s degree in education, psychology, social work, counseling or a closely related field; minimum one to three years’ experience related to the educational, career and personal/social development of students with disabilities; minimum one year experience working with students using assistive technology; ability to relate effectively and with sensitivity to all staff and program participants; experience working with adults in an educational setting, preferably in a community college preferred.


The Coordinator of Access & Accommodations will assist students with disabilities in order to clarify, define and resolve issues regarding disability accommodations, academic obstacles, and self-advocacy skills ; conduct comprehensive intake assessments to determine eligibility and/or accommodation needs; coordinate programming to assist CDSstudents in making initial transition to college; create plans for attaining educational goals; provide academic supports; assist CDS students in utilizing online resources and assistive technologies; support cultural awareness and social activities; plus other duties as assigned.

Hours:  Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. (hours may vary throughout the year)

Minimum Starting Rate: $50,520.00
