General Summary of Position:
This being a promotional opportunity, only current UML Employees within the same Bargaining unit are eligible to apply for this position.

The Senior Instructional Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of key
Instructional Technologies on campus including hardware, software, and faculty/staff training. Duties also
include developing and conducting training for faculty and administration in the following areas;
Blackboard LMS, lecture capture, desktop videoconferencing, classroom technology and other technologies
integrated into the classroom and curriculum.
This position manages and administers the on-campus Blackboard LMS instance at UMass Lowell, acting
as the main technical point of contact for installation and support for all integrations. The Senior
Instructional Technologist will be expected to contribute to major projects and to the strategic goals of
Academic Technology initiatives on campus.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-Bachelor's Degree required
-Seven to ten years' experience supporting Instructional Technology in a complex educational environment
-Minimum of three years' experience as an LMS administrator, including experience with LMS integrations, data feeds, and automation
-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
-Demonstrated experience with Blackboard Administration

Other Considerations:
-Master's Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology preferred
-A minimum five years of experience working in multimedia and
Instructional Technology environments
-Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and
organizational skills
-Requires extraordinary customer service skills
-Experience with videography and digital video editing systems
-Ability to create and present training sessions for faculty and staff
-Ability to work closely with faculty to deliver quality supplemental
instructional resources across all disciplines
-Able to manage multiple simultaneous projects
-Demonstrated ability to plan, strategize, and deliver projects
-Works with little to no supervision
