Event Planner, F Street House
I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary:
F Street House is the private residence for the university president and centerpiece for the life of the university community.
Reporting to the Manager, F St. House, Event Planner will have the job duties as outlined below.
Working with Manager, F Street House in all aspects of special events, to include: scheduling, venue preparation, public safety, invitations, catering, rentals and entertainment. In the absence of the Manager, manages all aspects of the events held at the F Street House and Office of the President (OTP.)
Produce event-related materials and post event summaries for all events.
Maintain the F Street House calendar, F Street House Events Log and provide logistical support for meetings and conferences.
Responsible for maintaining inventory at the F Street House, to include: China, silverware, glassware, napkins, etc.
Manage the Cataloging, labeling, and re-shelving of the books at the F Street House library and update existing F Street House cataloging projects including artwork and photography.
Assists Manager in developing, recommending, and implementing operational policies and procedures that will ensure the goals and initiatives of the F Street House are met. Ensure all F Street House operations reflect the University's institutional values.
Process time and attendance for all personnel of the F Street House.
Manage the hiring, scheduling, and training of student workers and manage them during events
Serve as the liaison for the maintenance and repair of the F Street House and submits repair requests via GW's Fixit system.
Research, coordinate, and conduct efforts to give charitable items.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:
