Perform reception and greeting functions for JCCC students and community members entering the location for class or to inquire about JCCC or the location. This position is responsible for the initial contact with students of diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities also include providing referrals to main campus services, disseminating general information to students and faculty, assisting with on-the-spot questions regarding JCCC, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Support for JCCC faculty and other building staff is also a key part of the position and this role. Knowledge of JCCC is important to the success of the person serving in this position.
- Professionalism, customer service skills, and the ability to multitask. Candidates should possess proper phone, writing, and in-person office etiquette skills.
- General computer knowledge required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during weekday evenings, including some Saturdays.
